The wait staff was very accommodating to our large party. The restaurant normally requires family style with groups larger then 8 but they allowed us to order individual meals instead. My meal was great with a large enough portion for me to take half home.

Looking for a nice Italian place with the significant other, or you are planning to have a work get together this the the place to be. Located at a convenient location in Santana Row, parking is nearby. The food is good and you always get an option to take home any of their home made pastas.

Ate here for a holiday family get together. Food was delicious, but some items didn't arrive at all, and one got lost and had to be redone. Busy night. Great place for dates.

I meet with friends this great spot quite often! This is the best place to have a bite. I go there many times. The food is just great, the team is courteous and the price is fair. I like going in this restaurant to have a nice supper.

I was a little disappointed that when I asked about what I get as a reward for birthday as a rewards member, they said just lemon cookies. And then I got home and noticed my email stated a 10 dollars off coupon...Otherwise, the risotto I got was definitely overly salty, but was yummy.

Food was great and our waiter as well. The hostess was cold and kind of rude. I just wanted to let you know because is the first impression as people are coming in. Changes on customer service is a must, I believe it was the manager at the time who was welcoming people! Thank you!

For lovers of Italian food it is a good suggestion to dine here. Choice of menu is big though Vegetarian dishes are limited. But they are tasty and good.We tried Mediterranean Spaghetti and Eggplant Parmesan dishes and enjoyed. Reservation is a must particularly on weekends and there will be big crowd waiting which shows its popularity. The ambience is good and staff are very friendly. We could see Birthday Parties were hosted here and everyone was enjoying. Recommended to dine!

Place gets busy during weekend, you need reservations for dinner. Walk ins are OK in the bar area. Service is good. Ordered Raviolis and Pasta. Decent portion. Food was pretty standard in all Maggiano's. Location is good for large parties and also company parties or seminars.

Wow so disappointed in the service when we got here to the time we left. We had the worst service ever. Took 45 minutes to get seated with a reservation, took 45 minutes to get a drink, the antipasto platter did not come out till after the appetizers everything pretty much came out together but took over 2 hours. Food was semi cold was not worth sending back. I felt bad as it was a planned retirement dinner and we received the worst service for a large bill and gratuity for bad service shameful by the 3rd hour we were ready to just pay for whatever was left to be served.

On the pricey side but if you don't care you're all good but the food was amazing. Specifically the salmon herb dish. The waiter was very patient and friendly and explained things well.

My favorite place for pasta. Drove 2 hours just to have some since it's not in Sacramento anymore. Rigatoni D is so so delicious

I have eaten at Maggianos in Illinois and Indiana, as well as this stop in San Jose, Ca. An early dinner prior to theater - and what a lovely time it was. Our server, Emily, was a ray of sunshine - she was happy, helful and made a real difference in our experience. Food is always very good, and our experience with service in all the restaurans we have visited, has been excellent. We lke to order a pasta-type dish and a meat/fish dish, and then share them. If you tell the server they will bring you two large empty plates so you can take from the service plate as you like (if it is not suggested by them, just ask). This restaurant location - Santana Row - bothered me because I was concerned about parking --- guess what?? Santana Row has free parking garages - we walked right out the door and across the street into the restaurant.

Great family Italian restaurant in Santana Row. Went there with two boys and the restaurant was packed but was seated promptly (because we had reservation). The servers were very attentive and was very helpful. The serving portions were very good and the taste was great. I can't believe if you order a classic or specialty pasta they give you a classic pasta to take home. Overall very good restaurant for everyone.

Geezus... horrible banquet food. Normally I like their regular dining food. It’s one of the better Italian places... but not for banquet. My friend did her wedding here and the food was absolutely horrible. I understand it’s banquet and most of the food are bulk are sitting out, but it was the worst food I’ve tasted for a wedding. The apps were risotto balls, calamari. Family style shared- spaghetti and meatballs, grilled chicken and six cheese cannelloni. All horrible except the risotto balls. The spaghetti had no sauce, the meatballs were dry like a tumbleweed. The grilled chicken- again super dry and cold, needed a sauce! But they didn’t have any... the six cheese cannelloni... it was disgusting because it was cold and the cheeses were clotted. Best thing all night was the risotto balls. Would not recommend for banquet. Come here for regular dinner service.

Great location right in the heart of Santana Row. But I give 4 stars for food. Good environment. Sometimes for lunch they only give a course menu for a bigger party of people which makes things difficult to choose if the party wants different things.

They have a new bartender. It takes time to get the drink, but it's worth it. She is good at it.Their portion size is well known to be always bigger than your appetite.Ordered rigatoni D with chicken so I also got to take another classic pasta for to-go, ordered spaghetti with meatball.Very good place for a team lunch outing.

Nice Italian restaurant. Good for group meeting, or party. Nice well stock bar, where you can meet your friends for drink, or enjoy a cocktail while waiting for your table or friends.Your can order food family style or individually. Good desert option. My favorite is the tiramisu.

Today my daughter and I were there from Iowa visiting. We were hungry for Italian, so we decided on there. It was above and beyond our expectations from the service by Danielle thru the food to finally the dessert. Beyond that we had asked questions about what to do in the area not only did we have a great conversation with Danielle but a couple other co-workers. What a great comforting place when people are willing to to talk about things. See you again soon.

Great service, good food. Really depends on when you're here. I have noticed everything varies depending on the time of the day. Best time I've seen so far is right after lunch and just before dinner. The place is usually cleared out a bit and the food takes just a slosh longer but in my humble opinion tastes better. Overall, a great place to eat

Very nice ambiance, very busy, staff friendly. Pomegranate martini was very delicious as well as the creme brulee. Crab cakes I say were a 3 out of 5. But overall I would recommend this establishment and I will difinently return.

This place is a great take on a classic local Italian restaurant. Plenty of room for big groups and they other amazing deals such as have a meal and take a mean for tomorrow for free. I had the Alfredo pasta for to go and it was great. Things to improve: chicken quality and taste was bad. The tables are old and we moved once and I moved my seat once more to find a seat that the table is fine.

Wonderful Italian meals. Love their pastas and appetizers. Their kid meals have a lot of choices and very reasonable prices. Bread is baked fresh and their oil and vinegar is yummy to dip in. We come very often during odd hours because it's very crowded during the weekends and dinner time.

When we got there, my server asked if it was a special occasion and i told her it was my birthday and she said she would do something in the end. (A birthday song and desert)During our meal, the servers went to many tables with a desert and sang to them (happy birthday)After we finished our meal, the waiter brought the check and seemed to be in a rush and we had to remind her about the birthday desert she mentioned. She didn’t seem happy about it and then she just brought something in a to go box. she didn’t do the song like what they did for the rest of the people and i found that very rude and unprofessional.They also charged us 20 dollars more than what they were supposed!I hope the waiters learn how to be nice to customers and treat everyone fairly and equally.The small things can make a difference!

I give five stars for the host and our server. Despite being so hectic, their service and attitude was very polite. Now, the bad part. My husband and I had 8:45pm reservations and weren't seated until 9:20pm. People who arrived and checked in after us, were served before us. One couple had the same time of reservations and checked in 20 minutes after us, and went in before us. The management needs to do something about the overbooking. They should cut off reserving at a certain time. It's not good for the customers or the waitstaff either. Apart from that, the food was mediocre. You're not missing out on much. It's basically a bougied up Olive Garden with a longer line and disorganized management.

So niceï¼I came at Christmas Eve myself but they provide me a table which could serve a party of four people actually. It only kept me waiting for 10min though in busy hour of holiday. Waitress gave me advice to order less avoiding wasting and told me her Christmas plan was nothing special as me. So kind to a Miss having Christmas dinner with herself. This place keep me warm. Thanks.

Hard for me to give this review since typically we love this place. The To go process during shelter in place is absolutely terrible- don’t expect to get the good you ordered since they ran out of everything or on time Since they are completely unorganized. Their directions say to call when arriving but they don’t pick up the phone. I sat outside in my car calling for 30 minutes while my husband went to see if there was a pick up that wasn’t curbside since ttry wouldn’t answer. A woman came out and told him they stopped answering the phones since they are too busy and that they may be out of a lot of things. When we got home all the sides were missing from one meal and the flatbread had almost nothing on it.

First time visiting and I will definitely be going back! I expected dinner to be somewhat pricey, but I was wrong. They have a great special on their menu, order an entree and get one to take home. Starting at $18!! The lasagna is amazing, lots of sauce and cheese but not excessive. The chicken parmigiana is delicious, very soft inside and crunchy outside. I'm going back to try more ASAP!!

Oh, Maggiano's I miss thee! We used to have one in Minnesota, but they closed years ago. I was so happy to eat al fresco at this quaint (but modern) restaurant. It was just as good as I remember. Nice sized portions, delicious pasta and sauces, wonderfully prepared vegetables, and generous pour of wine. I even found a new favorite. Don't miss this place, it is not your ordinary Italian restaurant. It is near lots of great shopping-and people watching!
